It is my hope that the past few video updates have clearly explained what has happened in my life over the past two years. Ultimately, my goal was to give you a brief time line and lead you to where I am currently, in regards to my future with/in Czech Republic. Seeing that this new adventure has been quite life altering and rather sudden my recent posts have been pretty serious so as to explain the journey with clarity. Now, to add some balance, here is a post on something not so serious, a little more current, but an update all the same. Thanks again for visiting my blog and for your continual support.
“In dramatic fashion, the Czechs have returned to the top of the hockey world. On Sunday night, they ended a 27-game Russian win streak at the IIHF World Championship, holding on for a 2-1 gold medal victory, and claimed the crown for the first time in five years.” – Lucas Aykroyd

Hello everyone! If you have ever wondered what a typical day with Dizmas in Czech Republic would be like please click the link above and watch the video that my friend Jacob made. He did a great job and I just thought you might want to see it. Thanks!
The coolest kid, supporting the coolest team, in the coolest country!
I will be able to see this cool kid and his amazing family in a couple weeks when I return to Czech Republic!
Also, I would like to remind you that I will begin posting new video’s to this blog in the coming days and throughout my trip this fall. Please feel free to visit everyday. I am looking forward to reading your comments. Thanks for your interest in all that God is doing in my life. I have come to love Czech Republic so much and your prayers/support continue to fuel my passion for that country!
Well, here we go again! By the grace of God I am planning on going to Czech Republic for a fourth time this coming fall. I think with every trip to Czech I get more and more excited about doing full time work in Eastern Europe. So many amazing things have been happening over there as relationships are being built and God is moving! Though it does take a lot of hard work and separates me from my loved ones I have been honored to see spiritual fruit. God is good.
With that said, my goal is to head back to Czech Republic again this October. I will be serving along side a group of some of my good friends and fellow musicians while using music as a vehicle for the truth. Beside our music, we will help put together assemblies in local high schools and teach English classes along side gifted Czech lecturers. Our hope is that as we spend time with students we would be able to encourage them toward maturity and healthy relationships with local believers.
So, as you might imagine, this endeavor requires lots of support from friends and family. If you do see fit to pray or contribute in any way I would like to thank you, in advance, for all your thoughts and prayers. Also, I would like you to know that I will be updating this blog with video and journal entries as we move into and through this new adventure. Please, feel free to check in at any time and leave some comments. It’s always an encouragement to hear from my friends and loved one’s as I share a major piece of my life with them.
Finally, if you are at all interested in supporting me during my trip, please e-mail your name and contact information to zzegan [at] josiahventure [dot] com and let me know how you might be able to help. I would love to hear from you and I look forward to working along side you through this time of preparation and on through my trip. Cheers.
Auschwitz Birkenau
German Nazi Concentration and Extermination Camp (1940-1945)
“The fortified walls, barbed wire, platforms, barracks, gallows, gas chambers and cremation ovens show the conditions within which the Nazi genocide took place in the former concentration and extermination camp of Auschwitz-Birkenau, the largest in the Third Reich. According to historical investigations, 1.5 million people, among them a great number of Jews, were systematically starved, tortured and murdered in this camp, the symbol of humanity’s cruelty to its fellow human beings in the 20th century.”
